Real Estate in the US Under Coronavirus, Part Three!

Real Estate and the Coronavirus in the United States.

Since joining Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, I have been lucky to be part of one of the Networking groups withe colleagues around Canada, U.S., and the world. We met on a fairly regular basis to share best practices and information about the markets that the brand services. We know that a lot of our clients have either second homes or may move from one local to another or into retirement.

I have been honoured to get to know these colleagues, They are a great source of referrals and our golden rule is to deal with those referrals at the highest standard possible with the client’s needs paramount.

When local franchises have Networking events as many of us as possible attend. There is also a large Corporate event held every 12 to 18 months called the GNE or Global Networking Event which includes colleagues from 73 countries. We are truly an international company and are lucky to be able to travel around the world and meet each other face-to-face.  We have a closed FaceBook group to make sure that only those who ascribe to our goals are allowed to participate and we call ourselves the “Exception Agent Network”.

In the past months, all events have been cancelled and we are meeting now via Zoom. In order to keep ourselves up-to-date with other markets and coronavirus protocols, I thought it would be fun to interview colleagues in different marketplaces. This will allow you to get to know them and also to see the differences in each market and how they are dealing with the Covid-19.

Because of the number of colleagues that we have agreed to be a part of this project, for this blog post I have focused on the U.S. colleagues. There will be two following additions: one that will include our colleagues in other parts of Canada and a third that will consist of interviews from around the World. Look for them in the next couple of days as well as some additions to this post as we get more interviews lines up.

I am honoured to connect you to any of these colleagues at any time should you want to know market information in their neighbourhood for your secondary homes, should you be considering a purchase or a sale. Please contact any me at any time for an introduction to any member of our EAN. Please note that each of the members of the Exceptional Agent Network has been vetted by a 4 person membership committee, is referred by another member of EAN and their participation and follow-through are of utmost importance to be a member of EAN.
